The Sony Ericsson W350i is a lower end phone in Walkman series, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's a poor competitor in the market. Instead, if you're seeking for a handset with great music capability while at the same time not a huge fan for photograghing, then this incredible music phone could be on your choice list.

Style and function

The Sony Ericsson W350i looks really smart which was avaliable in a variety of funky colours, the ice blue looks particularly good and the black and white are also very attractive. It is a slimline ultra-lightweight walkman phone which weighs at only 75 grams and is just 11mm thick, this compact design promise you both a nice feeling and neat operation experience. This handset comes in half candybar design, and the display is visible whether the flip is opened or closed. It's a neat design thouch that gives the phone something different, and it looks very good indeed.

When it comes to camera function we have to say it is not the Sony Ericsson W350i's selling point. This 1.3MP camera doesn't support autofocus and flash, also absent is a second video camera. Even for an entry level phone this is a low speccification. However, there is one thing we must keep in mind that W350i is an excellent music phone which mainly focus on playing music and it does this very well. A technology, namely TrackID, helps to deliver tunes' names, artists to you as long as you record a few seconds of the song. This is very useful function for music fans. The battery claims to support 15 hours of music-listening time. If you can get over this toy camera, you'll find the W350i to be very good in its niche-a compact, light weight music phone.

As this phone can be bought at seriously knock-down prices on pay as you go, it is well worth considering. Is it worth the money? Its music function is impressively good: the walkman needs no introduction- it is, as always, exceptional-and the W350i comes with stereo headphones in the package with a very neat sound recorder.

Other features, such as alarm clock, calendar, note, tasks and a timer are all there, and, in some cases very impressive compared with other similar ones , and in addition to the Mp3 player there is an FM Radio, enhanced with a bass-boosting function that increases the bass frequencies. what's more, Java games can be downloaded easily.

This handset supports SMS, MMS and Email - and the phone comes with a very handy personal organiser function that will be well used. It features GPRS and EDGE, and has Bluetooth and USB connectivity in addition giving it very capable web-browsing ability for a phone of this diminutive size, not to mention price.

In summary, the W350i is well designed and nicely built, and carries enough features to make it a worthy choice at some seriously bargain-basement prices. It looks good in all colours, is reportedly reliable, and stands out from the crowd with exceptional music player ability. Jerry Smith, the editor of http://www.mobilephoneonly.co.uk. Features Of Samsung S8300 Tocco Ultra

Samsung had a sure fire hit on their hands in 2008 with the F480 aka Tocco - Well they aim to do the same again for 2009 with the S8300 Tocco Ultra.

Samsung seem to like making their model numbers as confusing as possible these days. So, although the S8300 is the new F480, you'd never guess it by going by the model numbers alone !

Obviously, the new Tocco is improved over the original & Samsung have strangely ditched the "totally touchscreen" mode of input to a dual method of sliding keypad
and touchscreen. Why we don't know but we suppose that it's better to have the choice of 2 rather than 1. It's actually quite a refreshing change from a design point of view as many of the touchscreen phones are & were all beginning to look the same so maybe Samsung wanted to stay one step ahead of their competitors.

To stay ahead of the game Samsung have upped the technical specification from the aged F480. The camera is one of the most notable improvements as it's gone from a 5Mp to a rather fine and dandy 8Mp. The camera is well equipped with dual LED flash, face & smile detection, auto focus, geo-tagging and image stabilisation amongst other things. All images and videos are perfectly presented on the large scratch-resistant 2.8" display that has advanced technology to allow for a brighter, crisper picture than ever before. An accelerometer sensor automatically adjusts and rotates the image as you turn the handset to capture the perfect pose. It's also really handy too as the S8300 has A-GPS built in, so you can use the Samsung S8300 as a Sat Nav device - Pretty cool eh ? Samsung also claim that it's a powerful tool and will take users literally "from door to door".

As you'd expect from any Samsung mobile phone of this quality, the multimedia features on the Samsung S8300 are quite fantastic. It can play just about any music or video file that you require and memory is expandable upto a rather substantial 16Gb.

The Sony Ericsson T707 doesn't like to live it's life hiding in the shadows !

With it's vibrant colours Lucid Blue, Spring Rose & Mysterious Black, the T707 will capture the attention of anyone - guaranteed. Dazzling and pulsating lights flash and flicker to your favourite tunes and to incoming calls from your mates.

This all sounds quite funky and exciting but is the T707 just a cheap gimmicky phone or does it have some substance hidden beneath the glittery coating ? Well the answer to that is an emphatic yes - it really is a very nice phone to use and play with. It's pretty light at just 95g and measures just 93 x 50 x 14.1 mm so it'll pop into your pocket, purse or handbag without weighing you down. It's also a quad band and 3G enabled phone so you can use it pretty much the world-over without compromise.

The 2.2" display isn't going to set the world alight with it's size or quality but it's certainly not the worst that you'll find either. It has a monochrome outer display of 11." too.

Memory on most half decent mobile phones is now expandable, so it's no surprise to find that the T707 can be safely "upped" to 16Gb via the microSD slot which is about the industry standard at the moment and certainly enough for most users.

The camera is a little disappointing at just 3.2Mp - 5 megapixels would have been better we think but hey, who are we too moan ! It has digital zoom, geo-tagging, picture and video blogging and quite a few other camera features that should produce some pretty good results - but not the best.

Some nice features include gesture control. You can control your T707 without even having to touch it. Gesture control lets you mute incoming calls or you can snooze the alarm simply by sweeping your hand over it - How cool is that ?

As with most phones now, you can have set themes but with the T707 you have "day and night". The Day and Night theme alters the menu in your phone and changes as day turns to night.

The Sony Ericsson T707 is a full on multimedia phone that certainly won't disapoint you. It's not the most powerful phone in the world but going by the price, it should sell in some pretty impressive quantities !

LG has made strong inroads into the handset market with an increasingly innovative and interesting range. LG KS360 comes with MSN Messenger, which means that you can use it to chat instantly with all your friends. There's also an email client, so Gmail account or any other POP3 or IMAP account could be set. So LG KS360 is particularly lucrative at a time when social networking continues to grow in popularity and shows no signs of stopping.

Along with the runaway success of the LG Cookie, LG KS360, whose appearance has made a major impact on the handset market and draws women's eyes with its pink and cute style, is proving more popular than anyone had forecast and is currently flying in the face of the current economic downturn.

Nevertheless, LG KS360 has with many users commenting on the 2 MP camera and the lack of flash and there's no 3G or Wi-Fi or GPS included which are found on rival handsets it has come as something of a surprise that the KS360 is proving so popular - it's all about messaging and texting. The LG KS360 is featured with a full slide out QWERTY keyboard and is aimed at those who are frequent texters. The LG KS360 has a touch screen user interface, so you can dial on the touch screen without opening up the slide. In fact the slide is really only used when texting or sending emails. Actually the LG KS360 is more a media communications device than simply a phone. You get shortcut keys to SMS and an instant-messaging client. This is not a high end mobile phone – only 15MB preset memory equipped, which is understandable, but the lack of 3.5mm head jack is a shame.

All in all, the LG KS360 is still a very impressive mobile phone and long term player on the mobile market despite its apparent downsides. Another string in the growing success is LG, a firm who have plenty of surprises up their sleeve.

At incredibly low prices the Samsung E250 is an entry level slide phone with very neat and clever designs.

Samsung E250's slide function is impeccable, and it has all the features expected on many more expensive handsets. It spots an easy to use navigation system that can be operated when closed.

The specification of Samsung E250 is such that it easily surpasses expectations; yes, it's that old much better than the price routine. Samsugn E250 does offer exceptional value for money.

A good quality MP3 player and an excellent FM radio are thrown in this handset, and consider that the music player also handles AAC and AAC+ formats, and things start to look very good indeed. MP3 track could be set as a ring tone.

A voice memo recorder is included in Samsung E250 as is the ability to download the pre-requisite Java games, and various kinds of messaging are included - multimedia messaging and email. Bluetooth and USB are both supported. The Samsung E250 also supports EDGE and GPRS, too, giving a useful high speed internet connection.

For a phone in this range the connectivity package is very good indeed. The one downside is that it does not feature a particularly impressive camera - only 0.3 megapixels, although there is a video camera, but that is, as said, the one downside.

The incorporation of a top notch music player, plus the availability of the essential memory card, brings Walkman-like capability to this excellent phone, and it comes with the assurance of Samsung reliability and quality.

Battery in the Samsung E250 isn't that good, but then that - like the lack of standard memory - is what you get with small, slim and compact budget priced phones. If it's not a camera phone you want, this one bears some consideration.

The Samsung i900 or Omnia as it is sometimes confusingly referred to was a good and fairly steady seller for Samsung throughout 2008. And, as you would expect Samsung are pushing the now familiar model further by releasing a newer and much updated version.

Usually, manufacturers often try and just breathe a bit of extra life out of many of the existing parts / software of the old model and take the economy route - Not so with Samsung as the new i8910 Omnia HD (high definition) is a light year away in terms of technology than the old outgoing model.

he most notable change (and this is unusual) is that both handsets have completely different operating platforms. The original Omnia ran on Windows 6.1 whereas the new Omnia HD is a Symbian S60 device. Samsung have improved this by overlaying their TouchWiz interface on top which makes for a familiar and satisfying user feel. Obviously the software is open for upgrades and the addition of further applications like any other smartphone and you can access Microsoft exchange servers for your e-mail requirements. Anyone who has used a Samsung phone with the TouchWiz interface will tell you how good it really is & with "haptic" feedback from the touchscreen, you can feel what you're doing too.

The new Omnia HD isn't just a boring old smartphone though like so many are. It surpasses many of it's rivals in many terms including the huge auto-rotating 3.7" display that gives fantastic colour and resolution and makes it an ideal SatNav device as it has an inbuilt A-GPS receiver and comes pre-loaded with GoogleMaps. The camera is also an outstanding 8 megapixel affair that makes even the worst photographers of us seem more than capable !

As you'd expect, the Samsung Omnia HD can play virtually every conceivable file format known to man and the memory is expandable upto a truly whopping 32Gb. Web access ultra fast thanks to 3G and it has WiFi too so hooking up in any wireless hotspot is child's play too.

Nokia have always been the major player in mobile phones pretty much from the outset - although we're sure Motorola fans out there wouldn't agree !

Many of the models of late have become a bit of a hit and miss affair - Some good - N95 8Gb, some average - Nokia 5800 and some absolute dogs - Nokia 7610 Supernova.

Well, we're pleased to let you know that the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is one of the most exciting handsets from Nokia for a long, long time - Too long in fact. It's crammed with features, it's good looking and it has a full slide out QWERTY keyboard too - Wow !

From the exterior, the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic looks just great. Smooth rounded lines, a neat & tidy keypad, dedicated music keys and large display make the Nokia 5730 a desirable beauty. But can it perform as good as it looks imply ? It sure can baby !

As it uses the more advanced Symbian menu system, the 5730 is upgradable and it has more advanced features than a standard Nokia handset. It's fast & has a clear and intuitive menu. Need to send a lengthy e-mail ? No problem, just .slide the 5730 sideways and a full keyboard is revealed for e-mails, web browsing and so much more besides.

The camera on the 5730 isn't the most advanced you'll find out there but, to be honest it's far more than adequate and will take some great photos and videos. It has 3.1 megapixels and has Carl Zeiss
Optics for that perfect shot. It has an 8X zoom, full-screen viewfinder, autofocus, LED flash and flash modes. All of this can be shared in an instant by uploading to YouTube and/or Flickr.

The Nokia 5730 has A-GPS and GoogleMaps built-in, so you can use it as a SatNav device although the 2.4" display isn't exactly big enough to be used as a stand-alone satnav device.

The big thing for most people considering this phone will be the music capabilities that it has. The sheer quality of the audio power blows you away time and time again. It has dedicated music keys allowing you one touch access to a multitude of music options. It'll play just about every file format you can shake a stick at whether video or music. Oh ! & it has FM radio and a 3.5mm audio jack so you're choice of headset is virtually unlimited.

The built-in media player supports MP3/MIDI/AAC/ACC+/eAAC+/WMA and other common formats, and the speaker behind is a surprise when we’re playing music, the volume is impressively good and rare noise occurred even when we turned it all the way up. What's more, this phone comes with a FM radio feature which allows the user to enjoy a fresh & new listening experience with auto searching, quick store and other common functions, however, i have to plug in an eraphone which functions as an antenna to make it work.

The Nokia 7100s has a 1.3Mp camera but without auto-focus, LED flash and auto-tracking features, which ranks the lowest in Pixel among the already announced or released Supernova phones.

The built-in Bluetooth 2.0 module did a good job transferring a 2.65MB document in 32 seconds with the average speed of 84.8KB/s in the test. However, the internal memory is a disappointed 4MB without a MicroSD slot.

Also abroad is, which can last up to two days with 20Minutes calling, 30Minutes music playing and 60Minute gaming per day. The standby time is adequate and may basically satisfy your daily use.

We don’t know if this brand new is the right handset for you. However, with the vary basic functions, good standby time and durable & reliable mechanism which are highly valued by users as well as the powerful S40 platform and Nokia’s excellent workmanship, this handset is impressively good among the low end mobiles and will surely have a promising market prospect

With it's innovative touch-screen design and attractive good looks, Apple has revolutionized the world with the iPhone. One of the Apple's accessory for the iPhone is it's minimalist bluetooth headset. Unfortunately this device doesn’t live up to the company’s highest standards. Apple's headset doesn't do everything other headsets can.

Pros: Is a stylish headset with a very easy pairing process made just for the iPhone. The controls are simple, there is only one button for everything. It comes with its own charging dock. The charging dock has one slot for the iPhone, and one slot for the headset. Using the charging dock, the iPhone and the headset's battery status show up on the screen.

Cons: The iPhone bluetooth headset lacks a few basic features

* Volume control - It doesn't have a volume control on the headset itself, if you need to adjust the volume, you'll have to change it with the iPhone.

* Call mute and redial - You get the regular abilities to answer and end calls, but don't bet on anything like last number redial or call mute.

* Sound quality - It's not comparable to others headsets in the market, and the voices don't sound very natural. Just don't expect quality sound in an especially noisy or crowded environment.

* Noise cancellation- There is no noise-cancellation/reduction technology.

* Battery life - The battery life was nowhere near the five hours of talk time and 72 hours of standby time as advertised.

* Integration - Fails to deliver the full potential of the iPhone.

* Price - Is overpriced for the benefits it has.

There are no practical ergonomics implemented into this device, although Apple is the master of design and good looks. It's strictly a one-size-fits-all ear bud arrangement. The earpiece is too big and after awhile of use, it begins to hurt the ear. The ear covers help a little but that makes it larger. The battery can't hold a charge, it literally needs to be recharged every few hours, that makes it pretty worthless for people who depend on it.

Rather than any major performance advantage, Apple’s bluetooth headset appeal is almost entirely in its shape, size and simplicity.
