You can perform unattended installation in both GUI (Graphical User Interface) and CLI (Command Line Interface) environments. You can use this feature of Windows operating system to install or upgrade the operating system with minimum user intervention. However, under some situations, this installation cause critical problems of file system corruption and partition loss. When file system is converted to NTFS, mirror boot sector must be written to end of your disk, however the location of byte offset is masked to within the 4 GB of disk space due to 32-bit calculation. Incorrect calculation of the disk space results into overwriting of the NTFS file system index buffer.
