I just bought this system a few week's ago. It's alot more powerful than I thought it would be right out of the box. My old Dell was about to go bad so I decided to buy this one. When I got it up and running and set up it loaded very quickly. I don't like it when a computer takes forever to load. It has Windows Vista Home on it which is all I needed. This is my first time using Windows Vista. I haven't to say i'm impressed with it. It's very user friendly and it's easy to navigate.

I got the Dell XPS 625 with 3 GB of memory which is plenty for whatever your using the system for. Whether it would be for applications to gaming. Windows takes up alot of it as well as application's your running. I customized everything in my system the way i wanted and got the upgrades I wanted as well.

I had a nice video card put it it. It was the Radeon HD4670. I was very pleased with the performance. I could play all my games without as much as hint of lag. It also help's when you have a 20 inch flat panel monitor to go with it very sharp. Playing movies on your computer with Power DVD looks great. The sound card is awsome it's the Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme. My movies and games sound great with this card.

It has a very powerful processor the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ very good if you have different apps running at the same time. Most computer's can't handle the load and don't have enough memory. It helps with the load times as well. It has It has alot of nice features like a multi colored LED Display I thought was neat. You can change it to any color or theme you desire. Very easy to setup. It has an Optical Drive Panel it covers the optical drive. Use your Optical Drive to play a CD?DVD/Blueray Disc. Support's other drives if you want to add another drive to your computer.

It has a number of USB 2.0 connector's for Digital Cameras,MP3 Player's Etc. It has an lin in microphone connector in the front as well as one for your head phones. Also a IEEE 1394 connector for your high-speed serial multimedia devices such as Digital Video Cameras. It has a nice big Hard Drive the Hitachi HD 725050 GLA 3 has 500 GB more than enough room for anything you store. It's very fast and dependable no complaint's here. I had Dell to put me a nice network card in system that I heard was best out there it is the Realtek RTL8168C. I get awesome Broadband speed with it through my internet connection. It has a nice CD/DVD Burner good performance burn's quickly. I haven't had any problem's with it.

I like how you can change your power setting's with Window's Vista that's some of the software features. There's Productivity and Communication use your computer to create presentations
,brochures, greeting cards, etc. Connect to the internet and access websites, setup e-mail accounts upload and download files and so on. Entertainment and Multimedia to watch videos, play games, listen to music and radio stations. You can download or copy pictures as well.

So in closing for what I paid for this system it was well worth it very affordable. So I highly recommend this system to anyone looking for an upgrade fast and reliable computer. I give it an 8 out of 10. not perfect but very close.
